I Haven't lost my mind...yet!

I honestly can't believe that the last time I posted was literally a month ago! October has flown right by. Room 4 has been quite busy learning all about the creation of our universe, volcanoes, land forms, and the elements.

We did an experiment, in which we tried to make our own volcano, that failed quite sadly. With that being said, I would really appreciate if one of our Room 4 parents is willing to donate 40 volume hydrogen peroxide, a pack of dry yeast and red food coloring.

The children are learning about land forms and water forms. After they with the Montessori land forms, they are creating their own and doing research on their favorite one. I am in need of a lot of brown and green model magic. We have used up all of it. Thank you to anyone who would be willing to donate.

In our study of 3-D shapes, we are using marshmallows and toothpicks to make the shapes. All of the marshmallows have been used and we are in need of a few more bags.

On the half day, we did a fun project with Oreos making the phases of the moon. If you think about it look at the night time sky and ask your student if they know what phase of the moon that you are seeing.

Also, if your student came home saying that we were worried that Night Fury was dying. We were wrong! Ms. Anna researched and bought him a hammock, a warmer light and some crickets for him to eat. He’s a happy dragon now!
